Qualifications
Availability to work on-site 2–3 days per month, depending on project phase and client requirements.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline.Proven experience in data center construction is mandatory.5–7+ years in cost management/project controls, particularly within mission-critical environments such as data centers and large-scale industrial projects.Prior experience in a construction consultancy is highly preferred.Thorough understanding of MEP systems, resilience demands, and campus-scale infrastructures typical of hyperscale data centers.Solid expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control systems, including Earned Value Management (EVM).Proficient in developing procurement strategies and managing contractor/vendor contracts effectively.Familiarity with large-scale siteworks, utility coordination, and sustainability certifications.

Turner & Townsend is on the lookout for a highly skilled Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor with expertise in data center construction to act as the primary client liaison and provide essential cost management services for a significant, mission-critical data center initiative. This project entails a major, multi-phase greenfield development aimed at supporting extensive long-term capacity growth in the data center industry.
The endeavor is a substantial capital investment that will require close collaboration with various stakeholders, design partners, and delivery teams throughout its duration. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing cost governance, maintaining commercial integrity, and promoting informed decision-making across all project phases.
This position offers flexibility to work remotely, with an anticipated on-site commitment of 2–3 days each month, contingent on project demands and client needs.
