About the Role
The Senior Credit Reviewer Analyst plays a crucial role in executing independent reviews and assessments of credit portfolios, ensuring strict adherence to organizational credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This position emphasizes the evaluation of credit decision quality, identification of emerging credit risks, and the formulation of corrective recommendations aimed at fortifying credit processes and enhancing portfolio performance.
Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive reviews of the credit process and compile detailed reports.
- Assess credit product proposals from internal stakeholders.
- Recognize risks, pinpoint areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations post-review.
- Establish methodologies to identify potential borrowers from diverse data sources.
- Conduct independent evaluations of credit proposals, renewals, and existing exposures to gauge creditworthiness and risk rating accuracy.
- Scrutinize compliance with internal credit policies, approval protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Review financial statements, business performance, and collateral adequacy to evaluate repayment capabilities and risk exposure.
- Spot trends, weaknesses, and potential issues within the credit portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any field from a reputable university.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, ideally within a start-up/tech environment or the financial sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of the credit risk flow process.
- Intermediate proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, BigQuery, etc.).
- Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel as required.
- Experience in credit portfolio management is a plus.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
