The Senior Design Transfer Engineer – Systems Operations plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless transition from product development to manufacturing. This position is responsible for validating that product designs are manufacturable, scalable, and ready for production, acting as a technical liaison between Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Quality teams.
This role, situated within R&S, emphasizes the importance of influencing design decisions early in the process to mitigate manufacturing risks and support production readiness throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) phases, including Engineering Verification Testing (EVT), Design Verification Testing (DVT), pilot builds, and ramp-up activities. The engineer will work within the design transfer and continuous improvement framework established by the department, prioritizing tasks and escalating technical decisions as necessary.
