Canals is a dynamic and fully remote startup that is revolutionizing the industrial supply chain, a staggering $10 trillion industry, through the power of AI. Our innovative platform integrates seamlessly with existing distributor systems, automating monotonous tasks and minimizing failure points in the global movement of physical goods.
We are a diverse team of 70 professionals, with approximately 45 dedicated to engineering, spread across North and South America.
The Role
As our customer base and data volume expand rapidly, we are enhancing our infrastructure and automation capabilities. We are seeking a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust, secure, and scalable systems that enable continuous delivery, monitoring, and growth. This role involves close collaboration with engineers and product teams.
What You’ll Do
Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS) to effectively support Canals’ platform at scale.
Enhance CI/CD pipelines for quicker, safer, and more reliable deployments.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and system configuration using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Create and manage observability systems for comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting.
Elevate our security posture and ensure operational reliability across various environments.
Work collaboratively with backend engineers to enhance application performance and scalability.
Take ownership of uptime, deployment quality, and operational excellence as we grow.
What You'll Bring
A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
Extensive experience with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM).
Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.) and infrastructure as code practices (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Strong skills in Docker and container orchestration (ECS or Kubernetes).
Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
Experience in securing systems and managing secrets, permissions, and network policies.
Excellent communication skills and adaptability to a fast-paced, remote work environment.
Prior experience in high-growth startups or small teams is a plus.
