Your role will involve partnering with the Senior Economist to develop and refine analytical insights and resources derived from internal and external datasets. These insights will not only reinforce SEEK's position as a thought leader in APAC labor economics but will also bolster informed decision-making for our business and sales teams. By enhancing the understanding of labor market trends, you will contribute to SEEK's overarching mission.
You will report directly to the Senior Economist within the Government Relations & Economics team while cooperating with various key stakeholders throughout SEEK. This position demands close collaboration to transform our extensive labor market data into impactful insights, analytical outputs, and strategic intelligence tailored for both internal and external audiences.
Core Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Insight Generation
- Assist in producing regular data reports, including the SEEK Advertised Salary Index and labor market indicators on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Manipulate and integrate large-scale, high-dimensional datasets from diverse sources to extract meaningful labor market insights.
- Leverage SEEK's data across the APAC region to develop new indicators, reports, and insights.
- Data Infrastructure and Management
- Maintain data quality and integrity across all economic data outputs through meticulous testing and validation processes.
- Streamline data extraction, transformation, and loading processes for efficient economic reporting.
- Reporting and Visualization
- Create compelling visualizations and reports that effectively convey labor market insights utilizing tools such as R or similar.
- Support the preparation of materials for media outreach, investor communications, and briefings on labor market trends.
- Collaboration and Business Support
- Work in conjunction with teams across SEEK, including Corporate Communications, Strategy, Marketing, Finance, AI Platform Services, Commercial Excellence, and Investor Relations.
- Address ad-hoc requests for labor market analysis and economic data from various departments.
- Model Development and Forecasting
- Design and maintain models that facilitate SEEK's labor market forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Utilize statistical and econometric methods to analyze economic relationships and project future trends.
