Essential Job Functions:
- Utilize your engineering expertise to design and analyze electrical systems for installation, interconnection, and control.
- Design lighting and power distribution systems, as well as low voltage systems such as fire alarms, telecommunications, and lighting control systems, ensuring appropriate equipment sizing.
- Lead and manage project teams effectively.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and clients to review and establish project scopes, electrical budgets, design methodologies, and constraints.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant NFPA standards applicable to electrical design.
- Commit to maintaining project quality, budget, and timelines.
- Prepare feasibility studies and schematic design packages for electrical systems.
- Oversee the production and quality assurance of construction documents in line with company standards.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to produce cohesive construction documentation.
- Draft and edit project specifications.
- Guide and mentor junior staff members.
- Create precise project cost estimates.
- Conduct field measurements and checks at project sites.
- Maintain organized project files, including calculations, schedules, correspondence, and reference materials.
- Review project submittals for compliance with contract documents and specify necessary actions for conformity.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
