Responsibilities:Lead the design and development of advanced video camera, computing, and storage systems along with associated electronic components, including image sensors and processors, high-speed persistent memory devices, and interconnectivity solutions.Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers, to establish and refine the requirements and specifications for video systems.Conduct detailed block diagram and circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout for camera subsystems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.Research and stay informed on emerging camera technologies and industry trends.Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise during development and production phases.Assist Test Engineers in creating and executing test plans to validate the performance, image quality, and reliability of imaging and storage systems.Mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.Collaborate with external suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and cost-effective production of video systems while upholding quality standards.Continuously update knowledge of advancements in camera technology, computing capabilities, and best practices to enhance product innovation.Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering; advanced degrees are highly desired.5-10+ years of demonstrable experience as a hands-on development engineer specializing in video or camera technologies.Strong understanding of video recording systems, digital camera systems, image sensors, and associated components is preferred.Experience with aerospace system design or testing to military or spaceflight standards is an asset.Proficiency in concept design, circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence).Experience with high-speed interfaces such as MIPI and others is highly desirable.
