DLR Group is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer.
Location: Chicago, IL
Position Summary:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer at DLR Group, you will lead the design of innovative electrical systems from initial schematics through to construction administration across a diverse range of building types. Collaborating with our integrated design teams, you will contribute to creating environments that enhance human experience. Your responsibilities will include participating in the design process of electrical systems and generating detailed engineering drawings and calculations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in defining project objectives, goals, and documentation standards.
- Develop comprehensive electrical designs from concept through to construction completion.
- Prepare engineering calculations and layouts.
- Draft detailed engineering reports and narratives.
- Coordinate electrical design requirements with architectural, mechanical, and other disciplines.
- Conduct site investigations and punch list reviews.
- Provide electrical engineering design expertise on large-scale, complex projects.
- Lead project teams and manage team workloads effectively.
- Mentor junior engineers and emerging professionals.
