Join Rawafid as a Senior Electrical Engineer, where you will take the lead in executing and managing intricate electrical engineering projects. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of various electrical systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client specifications. You will offer technical guidance, mentor junior engineers, and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver premium engineering solutions. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing system performance, elevating safety protocols, and fostering innovation within our engineering division.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct power system studies and analysis, including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, motor starting, and harmonic analysis using ETAP or SKM.
- Create HV/MV/LV single line diagrams (SLDs) and electrical system schematics.
- Specify and assist in the selection of VFDs for large motor applications (>1MW, high HP pump systems).
- Prepare transformer sizing, specifications, and technical evaluations.
- Execute cable sizing, routing studies, and prepare cable schedules.
- Perform protection relay selection and develop setting calculations.
- Design grounding and lightning protection systems in compliance with IEEE 80 and IEC 62305 standards.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) grid interconnection requirements.
- Draft specifications for MCCs, switchgear, and associated electrical equipment.
- Design emergency power systems, including diesel generators and UPS systems.
- Develop electrical equipment layouts and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
- Support hazardous area classification studies and electrical safety requirements.
- Review vendor electrical drawings and technical submissions.
- Participate in HAZOP studies focusing on electrical systems and safety assessments.
