As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will not merely oversee a team; you will architect the 'nervous system' of our member interactions. Transitioning from standard notifications to crafting 'delightful interactions', you will harness proprietary data and predictive analytics to ensure members receive the right message at the right moment through the most effective channels. Your leadership will drive the technical strategy for a multidisciplinary communications engine that empowers millions of nudges, emails, and in-app messages, directly enhancing member engagement and health outcomes.
Your Key Achievements
First 3 Months: Immerse yourself in our current communications infrastructure while building rapport with your hybrid team across San Francisco, Montreal, and Bangalore. Conduct a thorough audit of our notification systems and implement your initial optimizations to boost deliverability and reduce latency.
First 6 Months: Collaborate with Machine Learning Scientists to roll out the initial version of 'context-aware' nudges, integrating predictive models to identify the ideal communication channel (SMS, Email, or Push) for each member. Establish a solid CI/CD and monitoring framework for our ML-driven operations.
First Year: Design and expand the next-generation Unified Communications Platform capable of supporting conversational AI and LLM-driven interactions. Take ownership of the long-term technical roadmap, evolving Proactive Communications from a simple delivery tool into a strategic engagement platform that scales to millions of daily active users.
