AECOM is looking for a highly skilled Senior Environmental Compliance Manager to oversee gas utility projects and provide support to various clients throughout Southern California.
This position will involve project locations across Southern California, including Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo counties, with potential assignments elsewhere in the Western United States.
*This is an on-call position with flexible hours based on project requirements. Weekly hours may range from none to full-time. The majority of the work (~90%) will be conducted in the field at project sites, but there may be occasional office or remote work for meetings and administrative tasks. Please note that per diem is generally not provided for daily travel to and from job sites.*
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an Environmental Compliance Manager for multiple projects, which includes reviewing and interpreting project plans and permits, managing environmental compliance in the field, coordinating with clients, contractors, and resource agencies, and preparing compliance reports.
- Work collaboratively with clients, construction teams, and internal staff on projects that involve biological, cultural, and paleontological resource protection; environmental permitting; noise mitigation; hazardous materials management; air quality; and implementing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
- Prepare and conduct senior reviews of technical memorandums, environmental permitting documents, and other relevant reports.
- Engage frequently with both AECOM and client project managers, requiring strong communication skills, professionalism, and attention to detail on high-profile projects.
