About Radiant Industries
Radiant Industries, headquartered in El Segundo, CA, is an innovative startup focused on pioneering the world’s first mass-produced portable nuclear microreactors. Our flagship reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor that can be easily transported to any location requiring power and operates for up to five years without the need for refueling. This cutting-edge portable nuclear power solution is designed to replace traditional diesel generators of similar size, providing essential support for hospitals, data centers, remote locations, and military bases. Our unique and pragmatic approach to nuclear technology leverages advanced software engineering practices to swiftly deliver safe, factory-constructed microreactors utilizing established, high-quality materials. Founded in 2020, we are on track to conduct tests on our initial reactor at the Idaho National Laboratory next year, with first customer deliveries projected to commence in 2028.
