The Materials Research Facility (MRF) stands as a pioneering establishment dedicated to the timely characterization of irradiated materials, thereby fostering advancements within the industry on both national and international fronts.
Become a key player in a highly collaborative and supportive team as you spearhead the operational management of hot cells while serving as a subject matter expert on irradiated materials. You will supervise the collection and preparation of highly radioactive samples for extensive research initiatives, employing cutting-edge scientific equipment for smaller sample processing.
This newly established position provides a unique chance for you to define the role according to your own vision. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the operation and maintenance of hot cells to ensure compliance with regulations and timely execution of tasks.
- Acting as the primary stakeholder for all projects related to hot cells.
- Leading technical discussions to navigate complex requirements and mitigate associated risks.
- Drafting, reviewing, and overseeing critical technical documents for hot cells, including safety protocols, technical specifications for procurement, and operational procedures.
- Ensuring the MRF Operations Team is well-trained and competent in using hot cell equipment, facilitating appropriate delegation of tasks.
Please note: Due to the role's requirements, you will be expected to work on-site five days a week.
