ProSidian is actively seeking a dynamic Senior Hydrologist for our Dam Operator Safety Training Program, which includes comprehensive training in Fundamentals, Inspection, Monitoring, and Field Practicum [DOI0017016]. This position is offered on an exempt 1099 contract basis with no overtime pay, primarily located in Denver, Colorado, and across the Western United States. The role supports federal dam safety oversight and training initiatives within the Department of the Interior (DOI) Bureau of Reclamation, with a focus on ensuring operational safety and enhancing infrastructure resilience.

JOB OVERVIEW
The Senior Hydrologist will provide essential services and support in the Government and Public Services Industry, concentrating on Human Capital Solutions for clients such as the DOI and Bureau of Reclamation at the Dam Safety Office located in the Denver Federal Center. You will craft tailored, high-quality course content that educates, engages, and empowers learners effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Deliver instruction on key hydrologic principles and dam operations, focusing on water levels, inflows, and releases. Develop course modules covering flood routing, data interpretation, and operational safety procedures. Coordinate the hydrologic components of field training and translate hydrology into actionable operational decisions.
- Teach the fundamentals of reservoir operations, inflow/outflow monitoring, and flood routing concepts, while developing practical gate operation scenarios for classroom training. Advise on instrumentation readings pertinent to hydrology.
- This position is primarily based in the Western United States Region, specifically in Denver, Colorado, with the initial work site located at PO Box 25007, Denver, CO 80225-0007. Note that work arrangements may change, including remote options.
