The Senior Infrastructure Domain Architect for the Global Infrastructure Unit plays a pivotal role in shaping and managing the technical infrastructure that underpins all H&M Group sites, including stores, warehouses, offices, data centers, cloud environments, digital commerce platforms, supply chain systems, and enterprise applications. This role is centered on the delivery of a scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure ecosystem that fosters seamless omnichannel retail experiences and enhances operational efficiency.
The Global Infrastructure Unit at H&M Group comprises approximately 60 professionals along with a vast managed service delivery network, encompassing four primary delivery areas: Cloud & Datacenter, Site Technology, Networking, and Digital Workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Strategy:
- Establish and uphold the infrastructure architecture roadmap, principles, guidelines, and guardrails while ensuring alignment with overarching business strategies.
- Translate enterprise architecture visions and principles into actionable infrastructure designs and standards.
- Lead architecture initiatives that support the development and management of infrastructure platforms and services in a proactive and holistic manner.
- Drive the transformation of systems into hybrid or cloud-native platforms, including Azure and AWS.
- Encourage the adoption of innovative technologies and the reuse of existing solutions to enable capabilities and streamline processes.
- Develop reference architectures for third-party vendor solutions, ensuring a sustainable fit within H&M’s architectural framework.
Operational Excellence:
- Design resilient infrastructure to support critical systems, including e-commerce platforms, Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, inventory and order management systems (OMS/WMS), and CRM and loyalty platforms.
- Ensure infrastructure designs guarantee minimal downtime and rapid recovery across all sites and digital platforms.
- Oversee capacity planning for peak retail periods.
- Assess the current technology landscape to identify dependencies, recognize critical deficiencies, and recommend proactive solutions for enhancement.
- Develop and implement monitoring, logging, and disaster recovery strategies for all infrastructure components.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps, security, and IT operations teams to optimize deployments and incident response.
Collaboration & Governance:
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among various teams to ensure governance and adherence to architectural standards.
