About the Team
The Tech Services team at Mixpanel is responsible for the systems, tools, and infrastructure that support our internal operations. We collaborate with various departments to ensure our corporate technology remains secure, reliable, and scalable. Our scope includes IT systems, identity and access management, automation, and cross-functional tooling, working closely with Security, People Ops, Finance, and Engineering.
Our mission is to implement an engineering and automation-first approach to corporate IT, treating internal systems with the same rigor, reliability, and scalability as our customer-facing products.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to enhance our internal systems and infrastructure. In this hands-on, technical role, you will focus on automating, managing, and scaling our corporate systems. You will collaborate closely with IT, Security, and other internal teams to streamline operations, automate manual processes, and enhance the technological experience for all employees. Your primary objective will be to instill a DevOps mindset within our corporate IT operations, ensuring our internal services are as dependable and efficient as our external products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scripts and automation workflows using Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate routine IT tasks such as user onboarding/offboarding, software deployment, and system patching.
- Implement and manage integrations between corporate systems and tools.
- Create internal documentation covering process improvements, reliability patterns, and best practices.
- Design, build, and maintain our internal IT infrastructure utilizing tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
