Your Responsibilities:
Serve as a legal and business advisor to various stakeholders and internal clients at Artelia Canada, managing contractual and commercial risks associated with engineering, project execution, and construction projects.
Provide support to teams across Canada and internationally by advising on legal issues and coordinating with external attorneys.
Draft and review various contracts including professional services, construction agreements, partnerships (including joint ventures), and subcontracts.
Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with diverse clients and partners (public, private, suppliers, consultants, subcontractors).
Offer strategic advice during claims or disputes.
Manage litigation matters with external lawyers and insurance representatives (including claims experts).
Ensure compliance across various aspects of the business.
Conduct training for internal stakeholders on risk management, dispute prevention, basic legal concepts in commercial law, and compliance.
Provide additional legal support to operations and senior management on various corporate legal matters.
