Qualifications
Each Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) must:
Hold a current licensure or certification in the state of Maryland.
Have graduated from a two-year college level program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association, as evidenced by transcript or diploma, or
Possess two years of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and achieve a satisfactory score on a proficiency exam approved by the U.S. Public Health Service if initial qualifications were completed before December 31, 1977.
Have at least one year of practical experience under the guidance of a qualified Physical Therapist.
Be prepared to perform additional tasks as requested.

As a home care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will support clients in achieving or maintaining optimal physical well-being by delivering treatments, conducting assessments, providing client education, and implementing suitable interventions as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
