Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field; a Ph.D. is a plus.Proficient in Python, with the ability to write clean, modular, and well-documented code, alongside a solid understanding of coding best practices.5-7+ years of professional experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, particularly in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), and ideally, Generative AI.Demonstrated experience in applying LLMs to solve business challenges, with a strong grasp of Generative AI design paradigms and best practices.Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Transformers.Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS) and containerization technologies (Docker).Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and statistical methods.

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Vitol will have the opportunity to make a significant impact throughout the project lifecycle—from engaging with business stakeholders to define project scopes, to data collection and processing, exploratory analysis, model selection and tuning, and the implementation of production-ready models.
