About Our Team
We are Canva Grow, one of the newest product divisions at Canva, created with the acquisition of MagicBrief. Our mission is to develop an innovative platform within Canva that merges creativity, data, and insights, empowering businesses to thrive through superior advertising.
Effective advertising connects individuals with products they cherish. Our aim is to assist every business in crafting ads that are not only impactful and imaginative but also considerate of their audience’s attention. We are rapidly scaling, operating with the nimbleness of a startup while benefiting from Canva’s expansive global platform.
As a member of the Inspire & Create team, you will take the lead in product development at the convergence of publishing systems, creative performance, and integrated advertising platforms. Your contributions will resonate beyond a single team; as our inaugural Machine Learning Engineer in Grow, you will play a crucial role in shaping the entire feedback loop across our organization, influencing the customer journey from Inspire to Create, Publish, Insights, Recommend, and back to Inspire.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and deploy ML-powered functionalities that enhance our advertising generation processes.
Design scalable ML pipelines in partnership with our platform teams.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, designers, and engineers to synchronize on user requirements and product trajectory.
Conduct experiments to validate hypotheses and enhance model performance.
Contribute to the collective ML infrastructure and best practices at Canva.
Stay informed about cutting-edge advancements and explore opportunities for large-scale application.
Are You a Fit?
You are an accomplished machine learning engineer with a solid history of delivering ML-driven product features in production settings.
You possess extensive technical knowledge across the ML lifecycle, including data preparation, model development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
You thrive working autonomously while engaging deeply with cross-functional teams, driven by the desire to create user impact and achieve product success.
You have proven experience in building and deploying ML-powered features in real-world environments.
You are proficient in Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
