About the job
About WorkWhile
At WorkWhile, our mission is to empower hourly workers to achieve financial stability and improve their quality of life. With over 80 million Americans holding hourly positions, many face unpredictable schedules, low wages, and limited benefits, resulting in significant financial challenges. We are committed to changing this narrative.
As we transition from a fast-growing labor marketplace to a holistic workforce platform, we are expanding our product offerings to include Newday (our SaaS workforce management solution) and WorkWhile Wallet (our innovative fintech service for worker earnings and credit). This transformation positions us as a multi-faceted business navigating a complex financial landscape.
Supported by Khosla Ventures and honored as part of the Inc. 5000 for tenfold growth, we are at the forefront of disrupting the $650 billion staffing and recruitment industry.
The Opportunity
WorkWhile is developing the operational foundation for the modern hourly workforce. As we expand our enterprise partnerships, the operational intricacies tied to serving our largest clients—including integrations, billing, and reconciliation—have surfaced as critical challenges. This role is pivotal in addressing these complexities.
This high-impact, cross-functional position integrates operations, data science, product management, and finance. You will collaborate across these areas with substantial authority—partnering with Product and Engineering to ensure system reliability, with Finance for accurate invoicing and accounts receivable, and with Go-To-Market teams to guarantee seamless onboarding for new enterprise clients from the outset.
You will oversee the integrity of WorkWhile’s most intricate operational workflows, revamping reconciliation processes, enhancing data quality standards, and establishing the commercial and policy frameworks necessary for sustainable and profitable enterprise growth. Leading a small team responsible for executing these workflows daily, you will identify automation opportunities, translate them into precise product requirements, and advocate for their prioritization with Engineering—maximizing operational capabilities without a proportional increase in headcount.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly analytical, commercially astute, and driven by the challenge of transforming chaotic, manual workflows into streamlined, scalable systems.
