The Senior Manufacturing Engineer IV will serve as the primary Manufacturing Engineer for a Department of Defense program, overseeing all production facets for the assigned project. This role involves providing daily manufacturing and testing operations support, ensuring adherence to quality standards, on-time delivery, and cost-efficiency.
Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, this position is based onsite in Reno, NV.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate design drawings for manufacturability, providing constructive feedback to Design Engineering before the release of drawings.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Design basic tools, shop aids, and other essential production tooling.
- Ensure the facility is equipped to support designs, identifying necessary actions to enhance facility capabilities.
- Manage business processes to assess and enhance overall production performance, revising departmental procedures as needed.
- Utilize key quality metrics and trends to initiate and execute improvements that enhance overall quality performance.
- Prepare and facilitate various reviews, including Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRRs) and Production Readiness Reviews (PRRs).
