Qualifications
Responsibilities:Oversee the entire lifecycle of equipment specification, validation, and process development for silicon ingot and wafer production.Specify and deploy metrology tools for real-time quality control, both in-process and off-line.Establish quality specifications for silicon ingots and wafers; perform rigorous testing and performance evaluations to ensure compliance.Lead investigations to identify root causes of failures and resolve production issues effectively.Innovate and push the boundaries of material and crystal growth processes to enhance photovoltaic efficiency.Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to transition R&D advancements into scalable production of silicon ingots and wafers.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in materials science, chemical engineering, or a related STEM field.5+ years of experience in semiconductor crystal growth, manufacturing, research, or characterization.Preferred Skills and Experience:Master's degree or PhD in materials science, chemical engineering, or a related discipline.8+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in photovoltaics, semiconductor, or crystal growth industries.Deep understanding of CZ crystal growth fundamentals, including thermal management, impurity control, and defect mitigation.Thorough knowledge of polysilicon feedstock, dopants, crucible materials, and their effects on ingot quality and yield.Expertise in silicon ingot and wafer characterization techniques and equipment, including ICP-MS, GDMS, XRT, SEM/TEM, FTIR, resistivity mapping, and minority carrier lifetime testing (PL).Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and manufacturing metrics such as CPK, yield, and OEE.
