Qualifications
Nuclear experience is not mandatory. However, experience in a highly regulated environment is highly valued and transferable. We understand that the ideal candidate is rare; if you meet around 80% of the qualifications and are eager to grow, we encourage you to apply. Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. At least eight years of engineering experience in complex industrial settings. Proficiency in thermal power systems, including steam turbines and related equipment. Background in nuclear, power generation, oil and gas, or comparable sectors. Strong understanding of turbine auxiliaries such as condensers, pumps, and feedwater systems. Proven experience in producing engineering documentation, reports, calculations, and specifications. Familiarity with mechanical engineering principles.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in turbine systems, you will play a crucial role in supporting engineering activities across our operational nuclear power plant assets. This position emphasizes technical oversight, performance analysis, and documentation related to rotating plant systems. You will engage with multidisciplinary teams to tackle intricate turbine and thermal system challenges.
Lead engineering initiatives involving steam turbines, governors, valves, and auxiliary systems.
Provide technical guidance and performance analysis for turbine plants.
Develop and audit specifications, calculations, reports, and modification proposals.
Enhance maintenance strategies and engineering improvements for rotating plant systems.
Collaborate with site engineering teams, safety specialists, and external suppliers.
Ensure engineering documentation adheres to regulatory and operational standards.
Clearly communicate technical decisions to engineering and operational stakeholders.
