Join Our Team as a Senior Automation Maintenance Technician!
Are you a seasoned Automation Maintenance Technician seeking a new opportunity? We are thrilled to announce the opening of a state-of-the-art Amazon facility in Niagara Falls, NY, and we are on the lookout for exceptional Senior Technicians who can lead and mentor our technical team. Your journey will begin with an extensive training program in Connecticut for the first three months, where you will spend 2-3 weeks in training followed by 2-4 days at home. All training expenses will be covered by the company.
Compensation: $35/hour
Shifts: Flexibility to work any shift required.
Your Role:
As a Senior Mechanical & Robotics Technician, you will take charge of leading service technicians in the installation and repair of advanced automated packaging and distribution systems. You will collaborate with the Operations Maintenance team to devise innovative solutions for complex challenges while managing various projects. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in training and mentoring both service and contract technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems within the facility.
- Lead and evaluate preventative maintenance procedures.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot various control components including relay logic ladder diagrams, motor starters, limit switches, and sensors.
- Create and manage work orders, documenting labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts utilized.
- Foster positive working relationships across the Amazon Operations facility.
- Develop training plans for service technicians and emergency repair work plans for critical assets.
- Lift up to 49 lbs and stand or walk for shifts lasting up to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Be prepared for minimal travel of up to 20%.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- At least 1 year of experience with PC software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher from a vocational school or college focused on Mechanical or Electrical fields.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
- 5 years of experience in electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
