ResponsibilitiesCraft, implement, and execute test strategies and test cases for Moodle platforms.Conduct manual and automated testing (functional, regression, integration, UAT).Create and sustain automated test scripts utilizing PHPUnit and associated testing frameworks.Verify Moodle plugins, themes, and custom developments.Ensure cross-browser, device, and operating system compatibility.Execute API testing, database validation, and performance evaluations.Collaborate with developers, instructional designers, and product teams for optimal outcomes.Identify, document, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA or similar.Ensure adherence to e-learning standards (SCORM, xAPI/Tin Can, LTI).Engage in release planning, CI/CD pipelines, and initiatives for continuous improvement.Qualifications10+ years of IT experience, with a robust background in QA/testing.5+ years of direct experience testing Moodle platforms.Proficient with PHPUnit for automated testing within PHP environments.Deep understanding of Moodle architecture, plugins, and customization.Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Behat for Moodle).Strong capabilities in SQL, API testing (Postman, REST tools), and debugging.Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsSolid understanding of SCORM (1.2 and/or 2004) standards and packaging.Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or iSpring Suite.
