In this pivotal role, you will oversee various operational functions at the fulfillment center, leading a team of Operations and Area Managers to meet performance objectives while nurturing positive employee relations and enhancing leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion quality and process improvement initiatives, including Lean projects, to ensure operational excellence.
- Oversee safety, quality, and performance metrics, ensuring exceptional customer experience in either Inbound or Outbound operations.
- Establish and communicate clear expectations for Operations and Area Managers, providing performance feedback and accountability.
- Encourage a culture of innovation by sourcing and implementing ideas from your team to enhance operational efficiency.
- Proactively share best practices across departments and shifts to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with support staff across HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, and IT to secure necessary resources for operational initiatives.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and move totes weighing up to 49 pounds.
- Engage in frequent bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
- Walk extensively throughout the fulfillment center, covering an average of 5 miles daily.
- Work in varying conditions typical of construction and distribution environments.
- Access all building areas, including climbing ladders and stairs safely.
