Qualifications
Payroll Processing Expertise: Over 5 years of payroll processing experience, with a minimum of 3 years focused on US payroll and at least 2 years on Canadian payroll.Payroll Tax Mastery: Demonstrated experience managing payroll tax processes from inception through resolution, including research, notice handling, reconciliations, adjustments, and quarterly/year-end amendments.System Skills: Proficiency in Workday payroll with the ability to resolve complex cases autonomously.Compliance Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of payroll controls, SOX requirements, and statutory regulations applicable in both the US and Canada.Process Improvement Mindset: Ability to identify and implement opportunities for streamlining payroll operations while maintaining high accuracy.Documentation and Mentorship: Skill in maintaining and enhancing payroll process documentation, along with mentoring junior team members on best practices.Collaborative Spirit: Strong partnership with HR, Finance, Benefits, and external vendors to facilitate seamless payroll operations.Subject Matter Expert: Participation in projects, system enhancements, and testing initiatives as a subject matter expert.

The Senior Payroll Analyst will take ownership of the complete payroll cycle for both the United States and Canada, acting as a crucial Tier 2 and occasionally Tier 3 support resource for our Workday payroll system. You will collaborate closely with payroll vendors, HR, Finance, and various business partners to ensure precision, compliance, and an excellent employee experience. Familiarity with LATAM payroll is a bonus for backup coverage, though not mandatory.
This position reports to the Senior Manager of Payroll.
