ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Senior Perception Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Lexington, MA. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development of algorithms that extend the performance boundaries of innovative airborne infrared imaging systems across diverse environments. You will gain a profound understanding of our unique airborne sensors while designing, testing, and deploying image processing algorithms that maximize their capabilities. This role demands hands-on experience with C++, Python, and image processing in a Linux setting. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Create advanced image processing techniques for signal enhancement, detection, and tracking on high bit-depth, large-format airborne infrared sensors.
- Collaborate with mission operations, hardware, and software teams to assess and enhance current system performance.
- Develop and maintain physics-based digital twins of our airborne sensor systems.
- Establish engineering success criteria and evaluation metrics for system performance, and create tools for unit and integration testing.
- Engage with a multidisciplinary team to tackle challenging problems in a fast-paced environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python programming.
- Demonstrated experience in image processing and computer vision techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
