About the Role
We are in search of a Senior Performance Engineer to optimize the most latency-sensitive systems at Helius. These systems are pivotal in streaming changes in Solana’s state across our global network, delivering real-time data APIs to traders, exchanges, and DeFi protocols. Handling immense throughput, even minor optimizations yield significant impacts. You will investigate performance bottlenecks to enhance the speed and efficiency of our products. The challenges are substantial, expectations are elevated, and the enhancements you implement will resonate throughout the Solana ecosystem.
What You'll Do
Analyze, fine-tune, and enhance the low-level Rust services that support traders and financial institutions.
Design systems optimized for low-latency environments, where microseconds count.
Implement improvements that deliver immediate and visible effects across the network.
Oversee foundational systems from inception to operation, ensuring they remain simple, reliable, and user-friendly.
What You'll Bring
5+ years of systems-level engineering experience in Rust or C++.
Comprehensive experience in tuning high-throughput, latency-sensitive systems.
Deep understanding of hardware, operating systems, and network performance.
Capability to tackle complex technical challenges with a strong sense of ownership.
