The Senior Planning Engineer will be instrumental in overseeing and coordinating the planning aspects of diverse construction projects. This role includes crafting comprehensive project schedules and ensuring all project activities are in harmony with the organization’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine and review the project's scope of work as dictated by contracts, layouts, and BOQs.
- Engage in the review and endorsement of detailed baseline schedules from contractors to meet contractual obligations.
- Participate in project meetings with contractors and consultants to assess project progress, comparing updates with baseline data and site conditions, and recommend corrective measures as necessary to avert delays.
- Analyze and assess contractor claims, providing recommendations regarding justified time extensions for various projects.
- Facilitate coordination among all project schedules/contracts to fulfill company objectives within the established timelines by identifying planned logic, dates, and durations.
- Monitor and review on-site work progress based on reports submitted by contractors, collaborating with the construction team to address and discuss any delays.
- Prepare and distribute all planning letters and notices (including delay notifications, schedule requirements, claim determinations, etc.).
- Compile weekly and monthly reports and presentations for senior management regarding project status, highlighting areas of concern and the reasons for contractor delays.
- Develop new tender time schedules.
