Role Overview
In your capacity as a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be tasked with developing and refining the core software and services that enable our product and development teams. This individual contributor role demands robust coding abilities, alongside practical experience with GCP & AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. You will significantly influence the design, implementation, and automation of our platform as a product, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an Individual Contributor: Collaborate actively with team members through thorough code reviews, offering constructive feedback and mentorship, while contributing to a cohesive technical vision for the platform. This position also entails working closely with feature teams, assisting in the adoption of developed platform features.
- Architect, Design, and Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Treat our infrastructure as a complex software system, overseeing its complete lifecycle management using Terraform. This includes applying software engineering best practices, such as designing reusable code modules, executing robust unit and integration testing strategies, and ensuring our infrastructure is provisioned and managed in a predictable and repeatable manner.
- Deploy, Manage, and Optimize Kubernetes Clusters: Take charge of the deployment, configuration, and management of Kubernetes clusters on GCP (GKE) and AWS (EKS), ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
