As a Senior Platform Engineer in Encryption and Data Security, you will spearhead the design, implementation, and enhancement of robust platform capabilities to guarantee secure data management throughout the organization.
Your role will extend beyond mere implementation; you will be instrumental in shaping technical direction, establishing best practices, and empowering development teams to create and maintain secure systems by default. Key areas of focus will include encryption strategies, certificate lifecycle management, and large-scale data classification and labeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of secure infrastructure services that support over 30 development teams.
- Oversee and refine end-to-end encryption strategies for:
- Service-to-service communication
- Data at rest
- Data in transit
- Drive the design and implementation of automated certificate lifecycle management processes, including rotation and revocation.
- Establish and execute organization-wide data classification and labeling strategies.
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in encryption and data security across the organization.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using GitOps methodologies, setting standards for others to emulate.
- Provide guidance and support to teams in securely integrating with platform services and adopting best practices.
- Lead incident response and complex troubleshooting efforts across infrastructure, networking, and distributed systems.
