Under the guidance of the Program Director, the Senior Program Manager for Graduate Medical Education (GME) is responsible for delivering high-level program management and strategic analysis of residency and fellowship programs, leveraging extensive GME expertise. This role involves making informed recommendations for program modifications based on evolving institutional requirements and anticipated needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and personnel management skills. GME Program Managers are expected to cultivate a deep understanding of ACGME Core and Program Requirements, alongside relevant policies and procedures. This role requires leading accreditation initiatives, educational programming, and providing comprehensive support to residents and fellows while effectively managing administrative tasks associated with residency or fellowship programs. Additionally, the Program Manager will coordinate calendars for meetings, educational activities, and other program-related events in collaboration with program leadership.
- Program Accreditation: Partner with the Program Director to navigate accreditation requirements; prepare accreditation applications for review by the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) and relevant accrediting bodies for new programs or curriculum adjustments; develop self-study and site visit documentation; analyze survey data to recommend program improvements; respond to citation inquiries and formulate action items for the Program Evaluation Committee (PEC); ensure timely updates to the ACGME WebADS, including program rosters and compliance issues.
- Recruitment: Propose enhancements to recruitment processes; assess applications and recommend candidates for interviews based on their qualifications; contribute insights during Rank Meetings; analyze application trends and outcomes; collaborate with the Program Director to finalize the Rank Order List; gather and assess data to identify recruitment trends and develop post-recruitment surveys.
- Resident/Fellow Scheduling: Advise program leadership on improving educational experiences; assist in the creation of new off-site rotation opportunities; analyze work hours to recommend solutions for compliance with regulations.
