The Senior Project Manager - Commissioning Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire service delivery related to Testing and Commissioning, from the design phase through to Level 5 and final handover, representing the interests of our Client. This position requires adept management of fast-paced, diverse, and rapidly evolving programs across multiple projects at various stages of completion.
It is essential for the Commissioning Manager to possess the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
- Establish and manage a comprehensive commissioning plan and processes that align with the requirements and standards of both Clients and End-Users.
- Coordinate the commissioning scope, levels (L1–L5), milestones, and success criteria for all systems in accordance with Client and End-User specifications.
- Participate in design reviews to address commissioning requirements and ensure integration into design deliverables.
- Direct and oversee appointed Commissioning Agents (CxAs) to ensure consistent execution of commissioning activities across all phases of the projects.
- Collaborate closely with commissioning agents, construction teams, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to align design with commissioning needs, resolve design issues driven by commissioning, and incorporate red-line changes and test outcomes into the final as-built designs.
- Review commissioning documentation, scripts, procedures, and test reports provided by CxAs to ensure clarity, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
- Monitor the performance of CxAs against program specifications, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Facilitate coordination among CxAs, contractors, OEMs, design teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Ensure the safe and controlled execution of commissioning activities in compliance with the project program.
- Lead commissioning meetings, workshops, and readiness reviews (L0/L1 readiness, Pre-FAT, FAT, SAT, IST).
- Drive early engagement with equipment vendors and contractors to confirm commissioning readiness.
- Oversee integrated testing of critical systems including electrical power systems, cooling infrastructure, BMS/EPMS, fire protection, ICT, and security systems.
- Ensure that issues identified during commissioning are tracked, resolved, and properly closed out.
- Promote compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices (ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, IEEE, etc.) during commissioning activities.
- Support commissioning teams by ensuring that design intent is clearly articulated in commissioning scripts and testing procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive commissioning records, including documentation, test results, redlines, checklists, and as-built updates.
- Review system performance data to assess alignment with performance, uptime, and resilience expectations.
- Coordinate handover activities with Operations/Facilities teams.
