Role of Senior Project Manager of Construction:
As an integral member of our Construction team, the Senior Project Manager will oversee all facets of designated capital construction projects. This encompasses permitting, vendor procurement, contracting, and construction management, along with document control, invoice processing, change management, commissioning, and project closeout. The role ensures the successful execution of projects from initiation to handover, driving achievement at every step of the construction journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project scope, timeline, and budget to ensure successful project delivery, including but not limited to:
- Development of new ground-up data center facilities
- Upgrades and redevelopment of existing properties into cutting-edge data centers
- Expansion of critical infrastructure within current facilities or properties
- Large-scale customer fit-outs and retrofits to meet occupancy and deployment needs
- Oversee all construction phases, including pre-construction, design development, competitive bidding, team selection, construction oversight, commissioning, and project closeout.
- Collaborate with internal business units to develop business cases that facilitate internal project approvals.
- Ensure timely coordination and proactive communication with all stakeholders, including vendors and internal teams.
- Draft, issue, and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to solicit bids from vendors and contractors. Manage the selection process to confirm that proposals align with project specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
