Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:A Master’s degree in public administration, public policy, political science, international relations, or a closely related field is essential.A minimum of 3 years of relevant research experience (quantitative or qualitative) is required.Demonstrated supervisory experience is necessary.Additional Qualifications and Skills:Experience in an academic or think-tank environment or working in a senior principal setting (public or private sector) is advantageous.Successful candidates will be mature self-starters with sound judgment, capable of engaging with a diverse range of individuals and adept at managing tasks and projects concurrently.A profound knowledge and interest in current international security issues, along with exceptional writing skills and basic quantitative proficiency, is expected.

The Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs is seeking a skilled Senior Research Associate to provide vital support to Graham Allison, the Douglas Dillon Professor of Government at the Harvard Kennedy School, and Director of the Belfer Center’s Avoiding Great Power War Project. This role involves conducting comprehensive research on pressing international security challenges, as well as overseeing the collaborative efforts of a dedicated team of researchers.
