ABOUT THE TEAM
We invite you to join our Technical Revenue Accounting team as a Senior Revenue Accountant. In this pivotal role, reporting to the Technical Revenue Accounting Manager, you will ensure precise and timely revenue recognition across our extensive array of product and service contracts, particularly focusing on Product, Subscription (Lease), and Maintenance contracts.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will utilize Oracle Fusion Projects to oversee the comprehensive project accounting lifecycle, including contract review, fulfillment, cutoff, revenue allocation in accordance with ASC 606, and assessment of the most suitable revenue recognition model (point-in-time versus over time). You will serve as a crucial link between Business Line FP&A teams and Corporate Accounting, ensuring that financial outcomes accurately mirror project execution and strategic intent.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Collaborate with Technical Accounting to guarantee revenue recognition aligns with ASC 606 for new and amended customer contracts.
- Conduct technical evaluations to ascertain the appropriate timing and methodology for revenue recognition, emphasizing the *transfer of control* for both product sales (e.g., shipment, customer acceptance) and service delivery (e.g., over time, milestones).
- Determine Standalone Selling Price (SSP) for contract pricing allocation to performance obligations.
- Offer guidance and support to cross-departmental teams on revenue recognition topics, including contract analysis, revenue forecasting, and deal structuring, fostering collaborative relationships with Program Managers, Finance Program Analysts, and additional departments.
- Implement revenue close procedures with efficiency and accuracy within stringent monthly and quarterly timelines.
