Your Impact
In your role as a Senior Revenue Accountant, you'll be instrumental in ensuring precise and comprehensive revenue and cost accounting aligned with established accounting standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Technology teams to facilitate the monthly close, analyze revenue trends, bolster internal controls, and enhance processes. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in a fast-paced, evolving atmosphere and relish utilizing their technical accounting expertise, analytical skills, and teamwork to produce high-quality financial reporting.
Work Location
This position requires relocation to Boston. The role follows a hybrid work schedule, promoting in-person collaboration. Team members are expected to work onsite from Tuesday to Friday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless a workplace accommodation is approved. What You’ll Do
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end order-to-cash process, recognizing how upstream activities influence revenue recognition and financial reporting.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly analytical reviews to confirm that revenue and related accounts are accurately recorded per accounting standards.
- Prepare and document journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue, and associated accounts.
- Collaborate across departments including Sales, Professional Services, Operations, FP&A, and IT to ensure correct accounting practices and precise reporting.
- Assist in the design, enhancement, and upkeep of reporting and analytics related to revenue and associated metrics.
- Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including reconciliations and variance analyses.
- Guarantee compliance with internal controls, including the execution of essential SOX controls and process documentation.
- Assist with internal audits and support related inquiries.
