Crown’s Food Division proudly holds the title of the world’s leading manufacturer of food cans. We offer a diverse selection of food packaging solutions, catering to various markets such as fruits, vegetables, dairy products, seafood, meats, ready meals, pet food, and dry food items. Location:
Our Plant 37 is situated in Hanover, PA, where we manufacture both 2-piece and 3-piece steel cans for the food sector. With a workforce of approximately 95 employees, the Hanover Plant is conveniently located along Route 194, close to York, PA, Gettysburg, PA, and the Maryland border.
Position Overview:
The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in our operations by moving unfinished and finished goods, loading and unloading trucks, and staging products based on business requirements. This position operates on a rotational schedule from 5 PM to 5 AM, offering a competitive hourly wage of $22.24, plus an additional $2 for shift differential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safe operating practices at all times;
- Complete annual forklift operator training provided by the company;
- Conduct routine pre- and post-inspections on forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning;
- Operate industrial forklifts to transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas;
- Perform quality checks as needed on incoming materials, trailers, and outgoing products;
- Organize and secure materials effectively, ensuring proper load handling.
