The SZC Project Controls team acts as a center of excellence dedicated to managing and strategically utilizing delivery performance management information. Our mission is to ensure the successful delivery of the SZC Project through proactive Project Controls that foster innovative solutions aimed at continuously enhancing performance. As a Senior Scheduler within either the Project Management Office (PMO) or the Delivery Programmes, you will play a crucial role in our operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a specific scope within the PMO or the assigned Programme Area, working closely with the Programme Schedule Lead to adhere to the Project Controls Execution Plan and Schedule Functional Guidelines. This role is vital to maintaining effective controls within the SZC governance structure and delivery model. You will ensure that scheduling activities are executed efficiently, aligned with established calendars and deadlines for SZC, while proactively driving innovation and excellence.
We seek candidates with experience in large-scale project environments, particularly those familiar with integrated schedules and schedule hierarchies. Your knowledge and background in major programs will enable you to assure and challenge outputs from both your direct reports and the supply chain schedulers. You should be equipped to lead on scheduling topics, develop schedules from the ground up, identify key interfaces, and drive efficiencies while recognizing opportunities and mitigations.
Collaboration with supply chain, multidisciplinary teams, and senior Project Managers is essential to ensure effective execution of all schedule-related activities. A strong commercial acumen is necessary to review supplier schedule submissions, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and alignment with overall SZC objectives.
In addition, your forensic understanding of schedules will enable you to conduct change analyses from both contract and client perspectives. You will be comfortable presenting schedule-related materials and leading workshops to validate supply chain submissions, address critical issues, mitigate scheduling pressures, and peer-review other schedules. Your ability to manage multiple scheduling activities effectively while prioritizing tasks for successful delivery will be key to your success in this role.
