Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and manage core platform systems to facilitate scalable data generation, evaluation, and customized customer delivery across Scale’s ecosystem.Architect extensible, production-grade services to support advanced AI workflows, including multi-modal inputs, long-running processes, and agentic orchestration.Build and maintain distributed systems at scale, ensuring high standards of correctness, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.Integrate with public LLM APIs and AI services, crafting resilient abstractions that can handle model changes, latency fluctuations, and evolving usage patterns.Design and oversee data transformation and processing systems, accommodating complex schema evolution, customization, and high-throughput workloads.Collaborate closely with infrastructure, product, and client-facing teams to define requirements, guide technical strategy, and deliver seamless integration for our customers.Lead multi-quarter technical projects, including developing and implementing a 6+ month technical roadmap for significant platform enhancements.Exercise strong engineering judgment in complex problem areas, balancing swift execution with long-term maintainability and operational excellence.Enhance quality standards through thoughtful system design reviews, thorough code evaluations, and mentorship grounded in practical production experience.
