Qualifications
What You'll Do:
Design and implement distributed systems that support content ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
Work closely with Product, Design, and Content teams to enhance the efficiency of our content pipeline and improve streaming quality.
Take ownership of medium to large components, ensuring their reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Engage in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and advocate for engineering best practices.
This role is perfect for an engineer who enjoys hands-on system building and iterative improvement, with increasing influence over design and technical direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain distributed services to guarantee reliability and scalability.
Optimize content delivery and video transcoding workflows collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Contribute to performance enhancements and cost efficiencies across the CDN and storage layers.
Design and implement APIs, background jobs, and service integrations.
Participate in on-call rotations and work towards enhancing system observability.

About the Role:
The Content Platforms Engineering team at Tubi TV is responsible for developing and scaling the foundational infrastructure that supports the entire content lifecycle—from partner onboarding through to video delivery. Our primary focus is on creating distributed systems that are not only reliable and high-performing but also cost-effective, facilitating smooth video ingestion, transcoding, and playback.
You will become part of a collaborative team of engineers who share a passion for video streaming technologies, large-scale system design, and making a significant impact across Tubi’s content pipeline.
This position is hybrid, requiring you to work from our San Francisco office three days a week.
