The Decisions Systems Group within the AC2 Division focuses on developing algorithms and tools that foster trust in AI systems, empowering humans to make optimal decisions. Our solutions significantly impact mission planning, modeling and simulation, AI decision support tools, and more. Our diverse portfolio includes trusted AI, Command & Control (C2), graph-based reasoning, autonomous systems, and human-machine interfaces. Current projects feature a simulation platform for training and testing AI autonomy solutions, resilient workflow optimization utilizing evolutionary algorithms, assessments of autonomous systems' reliability and responsibility, and domain-specific language models designed to evaluate the validity of scientific claims.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer at STR, your primary responsibility will be to design and implement adaptable software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional project teams to deliver impactful and unique solutions for our clients' critical challenges. Initially, you will assist with system integration and testing for a well-established mission planning solution transitioning to an active user base. Future projects will align with your interests and our expanding R&D initiatives.
This position allows for remote work while collaborating with STR’s teams based in Woburn, MA, and Arlington, VA, benefiting from STR’s flexible hybrid work environment. Expect occasional travel, up to 20%.
