About the Role
As an integral member of our Business Systems Engineering team, you will develop and enhance tools that are essential for our Go-to-Market teams. Your mission will be to identify bottlenecks and friction points, drive process enhancements, and devise technical solutions. Our team serves as the steward of data utilized by sales, order management, finance, and support teams. We prioritize automation over manual operations, metrics over subjective accounts, iteration over perfection, and proactive measures over reactive responses.
We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant in-office culture; therefore, this role mandates your presence at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with fellow engineers to introduce new features, enhance existing systems for better usability, and scale data pipelines for future growth.
- Lead engineering initiatives and projects, guiding other engineers.
- Utilize multiple programming languages, including Apex, JavaScript, and Golang, to write software.
- Evaluate the necessity of building from scratch versus utilizing existing tools or external solutions.
- Facilitate integrations with third-party software.
- Support various departments' business requirements, prioritizing tasks based on impact and cost.
- Quickly adapt to learning new systems and APIs, enabling informed decisions regarding the adoption and implementation of new technologies.
- Foster customer empathy to propose system improvements.
- Oversee projects from initial concept through to release.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
