About the Role
As the Senior Staff Technical Program Manager (Hardware) at DoorDash Labs, you will be pivotal in driving advancements within our robotics hardware team and across all of DoorDash Labs, enhancing last-mile deliveries through automation.
This position requires a minimum of two days of onsite presence at one of our hardware labs located in San Francisco or Oakland, reporting directly to the Lead of our Technical Program Management team.

- Contribute to the thrilling development and manufacturing of autonomous delivery robots.
- Collaborate daily with our robotics hardware, software, autonomy, and operations teams to tackle complex challenges in autonomous vehicle technology.
- Lead and manage the development, testing, validation, and production of both current and future generations of mechanical, electrical, and electronic robotics hardware.
- Guide hardware projects from initial product requirements or engineering concepts to deployment on public roads.
- Engage with leaders and engineers across Hardware, Software, Firmware, Controls, Autonomy, and Operations to plan, track progress, address challenges, and resolve issues.
- Utilize your expertise in both hardware and software/firmware integration.
- Oversee vendor relationships, both domestically and internationally, for prototyping and mass production.
We Are Excited About You Because You Possess…
- A B.S., M.S., or PhD in engineering, such as robotics, mechanical, electrical, or computer science.
- Over 8 years of industry experience in engineering and program management.
- Proven experience in software and hardware development processes.
- A track record of successfully managing complex hardware projects.
