ABOUT THE POSITION
The Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Casting is a pivotal and cross-disciplinary role that significantly contributes to the development and production processes of Anduril's vital supply chain. In this position, you will collaborate closely with internal teams in engineering, quality assurance, supply chain management, and manufacturing, while also engaging directly with suppliers to implement effective and innovative supply chain strategies aimed at meeting production targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage mechanical casting categories to execute supplier production strategies from New Product Introduction (NPI) to full-scale production across all of Anduril’s business sectors.
- Act as a force multiplier for the Supply Chain team, embodying ownership, initiative, technical expertise, creativity, autonomy, and confidence.
- Evaluate suppliers’ production capabilities, factory layouts, facilities, and workforce for potential inclusion in the Approved Supplier List.
- Assist Supplier Quality Engineers in ensuring suppliers comprehend and comply with the quality criteria established by SQE.
- Oversee the development of new production tooling and lines at supplier sites to guarantee that materials, processes, and tools meet performance, quality, and demand requirements.
- Manage readiness for capacity expansion and production ramp-up at supplier locations.
- Establish and conduct process performance and control reviews at supplier facilities.
- Identify and implement product and process enhancements, along with optimizing factory layouts to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
