Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, model, document, and refine platform and instrument architectures.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and engineers in subsystem teams to support architecture implementation.
Create models that facilitate data-driven decisions for products, simulating trade-offs between instrument performance, consumables, and product cost of goods sold (COGS).
Design and implement system-level tests for new instruments in cooperation with discrete design teams to ensure appropriate subsystem and component testing meets performance and reliability standards.
Engage with technical team members to identify and address key technical challenges.
Facilitate cross-functional interactions throughout the product development lifecycle, managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Work with stakeholders and technical teams to develop end-user workflows.
Conduct routine risk assessments (e.g., FMEAs) and collaborate with leadership to define and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Provide technical leadership throughout the product development journey, conducting design reviews and steering technical initiatives at both project and platform levels.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
5+ years of experience in the design, integration, or testing of hardware systems or instruments.
