Join SMX as a Senior Tactical Operations and Air/Weapons Specialist, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for H-1 Platform Stores Integration at the U.S. Marine Corps Light/Attack Helicopter Programs Office (PMA 276) located at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. In this critical role, you will support the lifecycle management of vital Marine Corps rotary wing systems, from procurement to disposal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate H-1 weapons and store integration activities, including comprehensive engineering analyses and evaluations of weapon systems and subsystems.
- Develop project requirements and integration plans to optimize weapon system performance, collaborating closely with Program Manager and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leaders.
- Oversee the airworthiness process for all integration activities, working with subject matter experts to ensure compliance with NAVAIR standards.
- Analyze project directives and technical documentation to identify and address potential integration challenges.
- Prepare and maintain project correspondence, including technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and project team leaders.
- Represent the Navy and IPT during key conferences, design reviews, and program meetings, providing technical insights and support.
