About the job
At Groupon, we are at the forefront of connecting customers with unique experiences and services while empowering local businesses to thrive. With over a million merchant partners worldwide and more than 16 million satisfied customers, we stand out against e-commerce giants by championing local businesses based on performance.
Groupon is undergoing a transformative journey focused on achieving measurable results. Despite our global presence, we maintain a collaborative culture that nurtures innovation, embraces calculated risks, and celebrates achievements. The influence of your work will be immediate due to our scale and rapid transformation. We offer the "best of both worlds" environment—large enough to provide extensive resources yet small enough for individuals to have significant autonomy and make a substantial impact.
We are seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner based in Madrid, a role that will allow you to be the multifaceted talent partner for our team. You will not only manage the recruitment pipeline but also take ownership of the end-to-end strategy for our most critical positions, with a specialization in Engineering and Management roles (including Directors, Heads of, Senior Managers, and Managers). Your versatility will allow you to pivot to Finance, Marketing, and Tech roles as needed, ensuring that every hire aligns with our vision for growth through 2026.
This position sits at the intersection of strategic business planning and talent execution. As Madrid becomes a pivotal hub for Groupon's European operations, you will play a crucial role in developing the leadership pipeline and functional teams that will lead our marketplace innovation, commercial success, and operational excellence. You will work with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining close alignment with our VP of Talent and regional business leaders.
What You'll Do
- Manage the full recruitment process from intake to offer. You will be the single Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for hiring success in your departments.
- Implement advanced strategies for management positions. You will adeptly handle complex negotiations and manage high-stakes stakeholder relationships with discretion and data-driven insights.
- Display versatility across functions. Your role may involve closing a Senior Engineering Manager one week and scaling a specialized Finance or Operations team the next.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to hiring managers. You will guide them in identifying and securing top talent that meets the evolving needs of the business.
